Robert I. Giel, Center treasurer, brings over 23 years of experience in senior management, finance and administration, with expertise in financial modeling and planning; budget and cost control; product positioning, pricing, and competitive analysis. Most recently he has performed consulting services in financial modeling, accounting, and control system installation for clients including Private Health Care Systems, Instron, Quinsoft Data Systems, and the Digiticians. Prior to this he served as Controller and Treasurer of Direct Global Power of Schenectady, NY, a developer and distributor of photovoltaic energy systems; Manager of Product and Competitive Analysis for Pansophic Data Systems of Quincy, MA; Director of Finance & Administration for Christensen Systems of Quincy, MA, which bootstrapped revenue from $100K to $3M over 2 years prior to the sale of the company. Bob holds a Master of Science in Organization Design & Change and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been a Trustee of the Cooperative Charitable Trust since 1985 and from 1988 to 1995 he served as an angel investor for this private foundation, evaluating and placing debt & equity investments in early stage companies. Bob is a current Corporate Director of Roots, Inc. of Independence, MO.
